"Sanctus" Re-tuned
My sweet friend, Rev. Jenna Martin, and I wrote this setting to the Sanctus a few years ago. I included the retuned piece of service music on my 2015 release, "Psalms, Hymns & Spiritual Songs". If you're unfamiliar with the words to the Sanctus they are very simply:
Holy, Holy, Holy Lord
God of power and might
Heaven and earth are full of your glory
Hosanna in the highest
Blessed is He who comes in the Name of the Lord
Hosanna in the highest
Jenna and I originally wrote this setting for Advent. Its minor entry point serves this season of longing and waiting well, all the while anticipating Hope.
